Who am I

 My Story

A lot of the people I work with feel stuck - stuck in a job, stuck in a relationship, stuck in their ways of thinking. As a coach it’s my job to help you get unstuck, so that you can find your journey to fulfilment and start taking steps to get there.

I can be the voice of your dreams - even dreams you may have put aside. It’s my role to remind you of what you want so you don’t get distracted by the shine on new offers or opportunities and can take the space to consider, do I really want to do this?

I listen to what you say - and what you don’t say - and I consider every person’s individual circumstances, experiences and goals.

No two people are alike, and so no two coaching journeys are alike. I enjoy variety and the challenge and contentment of finding the best approach for each person I work with so that I always meet you where you are.

When you work with me we will figure out the right path for you together.

 Why this matters to me

I became a coach because coaching helped me.

My professional career started in 2005 and I only really found coaching in 2018. Thirteen years is a long time - I spent it working in different industries, different jobs, even different countries.

I was also burnt out, unhappy with what I was doing with my life.

Coaching helped me to change that.

The first time I had coaching with a Co-Active coach it blew my mind.

I didn’t understand until then that values are your own unique perspective on the world and when they are being honoured life feels good, and when they’re not, life feels bad.

A big value for me is equality of opportunity and fairness, and I realised that the environment and jobs I was working in at the time didn’t have that, which meant I was working against myself. I was stuck.

I’ve always wanted to help people and I spent a long time thinking that the only way to do that was to get promoted and gain the power to do things differently. But it’s incredibly hard to change things from within the system - no matter what level of seniority you have.

As a coach I’m adjacent to that system. I’m independent - I don’t have skin in the game or an axe to grind - which means I can help people find what they need, and help teams and companies do the same thing on a larger scale.

What qualifies me

I’ve worked in many different organisations, in multiple sectors and at all levels (from junior to c-suite and board) and in different countries. This means I can bring a wealth of life experience and ways of being to my coaching.

Co-Active coaching was the best coaching I ever had, and when the opportunity came up to train as a Co-Active coach I leapt at the chance. Co-Active is the highest regarded coaching approach in the world and I love being able to support others in the same way I was supported.

I love what I do. I especially enjoy variety and diversity in my work - I work with individuals, companies and organisations and academic institutions. All I ask is that people are willing to do the work, and recognise there isn’t a quick-fix magic solution - fulfillment is forever a journey.

We don’t just get to wake up one day and say we’re happy and that’s it - we will always be moving, and ideally we want to be moving towards our dreams. Coaching helps us do that. Let me help you do that.
