Day coaching

Because your people matter

I recommend Coaching in Motion as a great partner for any organisation that truly believes (not just states) that people are at the heart of every business. Coaching, at all levels, should be part of every company’s people strategy.

What is it?

Managers may also be struggling to support staff experiencing personal or mental health problems alongside their own workload.

Bringing in well qualified, professional coaches as ongoing dedicated support fills this gap.

Booking in coaching days allows a company to provide a number of coaching slots which their team can sign up to as needed, getting the benefits of individual coaching when they need it.

People have a lot going on in their lives - both within and outside of the workplace.

Often organisations don’t have a method or support structures in place to help their people deal with these challenges, be productive and enjoy their work.

A coach is a highly trained third party, qualified to support people who are reluctant to share personal issues that are impacting on their work with their manager.

How does it work?

Coaching days are effectively bulk-booked coaching support. Organisations reserve a number of days a month, each of which includes between 5 and 7 coaching slots, depending on your team size and needs. Booking this way enables employees to access coaching when they need it.

Your team members can then choose when to take advantage of a coach and receive confidential support to deal with the challenges they are facing - be they personal or work related. Sometimes just having a non-judgemental ear can make a difference, helping people work through the challenges they're facing with the support of an external perspective.

Not everyone needs months of individual coaching support - some people just need one session to work through an issue - so booking coaching days offers your team the flexibility to get the support they need without locking them in a fixed number of sessions.

Investing to support middle management

“In 2021 we kicked off a coaching programme with Bea at Coaching in Motion, a six month pilot, we offered coaching to all middle managers across the company, the feedback has been overwhelming positive, with staff commenting on the positive impact the sessions have had on their mental health, their confidence and how the sessions have equipped them with various tools and techniques to navigate work and life.

“It has been such a huge success that we are rolling out coaching to our whole company, so that staff, at all levels, can benefit, we are also introducing coaching as part of our maternity leave package, offering coaching to individuals in preparation for their leave and on their return to work. I recommend Coaching in Motion as a great partner for any organisation that truly believes (not just states) that people are at the heart of every business. Coaching, at all levels, should be part of every company’s people strategy.”

The coaching sessions took place during a series of big life changes. The sessions always helped me to explore how I was feeling during this time, how this was affecting my work (and vice versa) and if I needed to/what I could do to keep balance.

What do you get?

Businesses who take care of their staff with coaching support are more likely to retain staff and see increased morale. As happy people are 12% more productive than unhappy people, this can also have a knock-on effect on your bottom line.

This is particularly effective for managers who are working with a hybrid or fully remote team members - it’s harder to gage people’s emotional temperature over a Zoom call, so managerial responsibilities are becoming increasingly stressful.

In a nutshell, coaching days support managers to manage as well as helping struggling staff members find their feet and work through their challenges.

Supporting staff to enable leaders to lead

“Being a leader can be lonely and after owning my business for over 10 years, I realised that I needed to bring in support for myself and my team. I came across the wonderful Beatrice and decided to embark on working with my first life coach, and after reaping the benefits myself, I soon realised that this could be transferred to my team. They had never experienced coaching before and it has been amazing for them.

I really see the value and I've seen the value in the business over the years of supporting my people with all aspects of their lives. I’m truly grateful for her support. Everyone is growing and learning through these challenging times. So just all round, a really supportive experience for me as a business owner.”
