Workshops

Building capacity in your people

She left us walking away from the session far more focussed and motivated than before. I’d really recommend working with her if you’re dealing with organisational change programmes…

What is it?

The past few years have been challenging for us all. Between December 2020 and July 2021, employees reported a 21% increase in burnout according to a survey by the digital wellness company meQuilibrium.

Studies have shown that companies with initiatives that support their staff’s mental health needs have staff with better mental health. But it’s not as simple as adding an employee helpline to your benefits package or a resources page on your intranet. If you want to make a real difference to your team, create safe spaces away from daily deliverables for employees to learn new skills and engage in positive change.

Our workshops are built on a safe and warm coaching approach that draws on the latest research and proven techniques. Few companies have the in-house staff to deliver this, which is where we come in.

How does it work?

Depending on your needs I can use one of my existing workshops, or could work with you to design something bespoke.

There’s a difference between traditional training and my workshops.

Traditional training is instructor led, with a focus on telling people what to do. My workshops are holistic and are about more than just what you should do. They are a safe space for you to be your entire self and consider both your emotional and mental needs - allowing you to be a complete person, not just your work persona.

Workshops are completely flexible - but in the past I have worked with groups ranging from 6 to 150 people in size.

Sometimes a single session is sufficient, sometimes that same session may be repeated several times to cover all attendees, sometimes a series of workshops are needed to work through the problem.

Topics I have supported before include:

  • Navigating transitions

  • Cultivating personal resilience

  • Psychological safety

  • Feedback that grows people

  • Limiting beliefs: recognising, understanding and responding.

If I’m not already familiar with your business and the issues you want to tackle, it can be worthwhile to run some coaching and investigation sessions in advance of the workshops to ensure we’re aiming at the right targets.

Bea has a library of resources and information stored in her brain which she is able to reach in response to in the moment questions and comments from attendees. She works in a calm and present way, and can both hold safety and evoke transformation through her facilitation.

What do you get?

Workshops are one of my most popular services. I’ve worked with companies in many different industries to support their staff, tackle their challenges and grow their people. This can be online or in person, form part of a company away day or be a development programme that runs over a number of months.

What’s important is for me to understand your needs and to shape delivery accordingly. The tools and techniques I draw upon are utterly flexible and will be adapted to your needs.

Building psychological safety in a challenging environment

“Beatrice delivered a brilliant session on Psychological Safety for our departmental leadership team which required a deft handling of the subject matter, calm facilitation of all the stakeholders involved, and a willingness to work with the strengths and challenges we brought up spontaneously in the session.

“She did this all in a way that put us at ease, brought out the best in people, and left us walking away from the session far more focussed and motivated than before. I’d really recommend working with her if you’re dealing with organisational change programmes…”
